  • Specialises in competition law, including issues involving acts of unfair competition and unfair use of contractual advantage.
  • Has several years’ experience in working for the Competition and Consumer Protection Office, she advises clients on structuring the terms and conditions of cooperation with contractors, also in franchise networks, including the distribution policy, and the pricing and discount policies applied within its framework, with particular emphasis on the related risks of breaching legal regulations prohibiting anti-competitive agreements and the abuse of a dominant position.
  • She has also handled matters related to the operations of telecommunications undertakings, including those involving the regulation of telecommunications markets.
  • Supports clients in matters involving acts of unfair competition, particularly in relations between commercial networks and their suppliers as regards so-called shelf fees, and in the case of entities operating in the food supply chain, in matters involving the use of contractual advantage.
  • With her experience in organising and conducting Competition and Consumer Protection Office inspections and searches, Maria supports businesses in this area too.
