Litigation is evolving under growing demands for efficiency, transparency and the use of digital and AI-generated evidence. These changes will be discussed at the IBA Forum, with Łukasz Wojdalski participating

Litigation is evolving in response to increasing expectations regarding efficiency and transparency, as well as the growing importance of digital evidence, including AI-generated materials. These developments are reshaping both the conduct of proceedings and the role of litigators, who are increasingly expected to combine legal expertise with effective case management and a strategic approach to dispute resolution.

These issues will be discussed during the IBA Annual Litigation Forum 2026, taking place on 15–17 April 2026 at in Madrid. The Forum brings together international practitioners, in-house counsel and representatives of the judiciary to discuss current challenges and developments in litigation, including technology-driven legal issues and cross-border disputes.

As part of the programme, Łukasz Wojdalski from the Dispute Resolution Practice will participate in the panel discussion “The changing face of litigation: trust, technology, and transformation” on 16 April.

The panel will address the impact of increasing demands for speed and transparency, as well as the digitisation of evidence, on the traditional relationship between clients, litigators and courts. Particular attention will be given to the evolving role of litigators, from a predominantly adversarial function towards a more strategic and process-oriented approach, requiring the integration of legal, technological and organisational competences.
