Marek Paluch, Senior Associate from the Life Sciences Practice, will take part in a discussion on medical product liability during an AIJA conference.

Development of innovation in the healthcare sector brings not only new opportunities but also complex legal and regulatory risks. Organisations operating in this area are increasingly facing challenges related to cybersecurity, product liability, and the prevention of business crime.

These topics will be discussed during the international conference “From Code to Care: Combating Business Crime in Today’s Innovative and Traditional Healthcare Sector”, which will take place on 23-25 April in Florence.

As part of the “Healthcare Product Liability & Fraud” discussion panel, scheduled for 24 April, Marek Paluch, Senior Associate from the Life Sciences Practice, will speak on key challenges related to medical product liability and fraud risks in the healthcare sector. The discussion will cover, among other things, defective products, off-label practices, data manipulation, the role of whistleblowers, and current enforcement trends.

The event will provide an opportunity to exchange international experience and to explore the healthcare sector from the perspective of the growing importance of compliance and risk management in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Further details regarding registration are available on the organiser’s website.
