Paulina Siewielec-Przychodzeń will take part in an AIJA panel on legal challenges related to drone defence technologies and dual-use applications.

Paulina Siewielec-Przychodzeń, Associate from the Defence and Space Industry Team, will take part in a discussion on legal challenges related to drone defence technologies during an AIJA conference in Bruges.

The rapid development of drone technologies and their growing role in defence initiatives are creating new legal questions at the intersection of procurement, intellectual property, transport, technology and regulatory compliance. These issues are particularly complex where solutions have both civilian and defence applications.

These topics will be discussed during the international conference “Bruges: Old Stones, New Orders – Legal Strategies to Adapt to Political and Economic Shifts”, which will take place on 27–30 May 2026 in Bruges.

As part of the plenary session “From Battlefield to Civil Sky: Legal Challenges in Drone Defense Alliances, Public Procurement, Transport”, scheduled for 28 May, Paulina Siewielec-Przychodzeń will join an international panel of speakers to discuss how cross-border defence alliances address public procurement, IP protection and regulatory frameworks for dual-use drone technologies.

The event will provide an opportunity to exchange international perspectives on how legal professionals can support innovation, security and cooperation in a rapidly evolving technological and geopolitical environment.

Further details regarding the conference are available on the organiser’s website.
