German automotive industry leader LUEG buys stake in ambulance manufacturing group

24.11.2021

DZP has advised LUEG, a German automotive industry leader, on the purchase of shares in WAS, a group specialising in the manufacture of ambulances. Last year a total of 1,500 ambulances were put on the market by WAS group companies. A significant number of them was produced in a Polish manufacturing facility.

DZP closed the transaction to sell the shares in the WAS group to the client in early November 2021.

DZP supported LUEG in this international project together with Dr Urlich Irriger and Dr Maximiliam Schauf from the German law firm KÜMMERLEIN Rechtsanwälte & Notare and a team of lawyers from the English law firm Burges Salmon.

DZP's advice included a legal due diligence of the Polish WAS group company, preparation of documents concerning Polish aspects of the transaction and support for the German adviser in drafting transaction agreements and in negotiating the W&I policy.

The client was advised by DZP German Desk lawyers specialising in M&A transactions: Julita Zimoch-Tuchołka, Partner, and Joanna Schubel, Senior Associate.
