What's new at DZP?
DZP advised ‘TECS’ telecommunication & e-commerce solutions GmbH, the leader of the winning consortium, during a procedure for handling cashless payments and settling transactions in the Electronic Toll Collection System, conducted by the General Inspectorate of Road Transport (GIRT).
GIRT has been responsible for the administration of the toll collection system since November 2018 and is responsible for developing and implementing new e-toll solutions and other tasks. At the end of last year, GIRT announced a tender for the handling and authorisation of cashless payments and settlement of transactions using Payment Cards and Fleet Cards in the Electronic Toll Collection System. Thanks to this contract, strategic for GIRT, carriers will not have to make payments in cash and the National Toll Collection System will continue to operate smoothly.
In the procedure with an estimated contract value of over PLN 23 million, the contracting authority chose the tender submitted by a consortium of TECS, PKO BP and Centrum Elektronicznych Usług Płatniczych eService.
On 10 March 2020, representatives of the winning consortium signed a contract with GIRT.
“Our client's victory is a result of efforts of DZP's public procurement team and IP&TMT team. We advised the consortium from the beginning of the tender, i.e. from the publication of the contract notice, to submission of questions regarding the ToR, to assistance in preparing the tender and concluding the contract,” comments Michał Wojciechowski, Senior Associate in the Infrastructure and Energy Practice, “We are proud of our Client’s success”.
The Client was advised on behalf of DZP by a team of lawyers from the Infrastructure and Energy Practice and IP&TMT Practice: Michał Wojciechowski, Senior Associate, Paweł Gruszecki, Counsel, dr Wojciech Hartung, Counsel and Karolina Kulikowska, Associate.
