Autorzy:DZP's Infrastructure and Energy Practice advised Przedsiębiorstwo Inwestycyjno-Remontowe Energetyki i Przemysłu "Remak-Rozruch" S.A. on negotiating the co-operation terms and conditions for a consortium with Nalco Mobotec Polska Sp. z o.o. On 1 February 2013 the consortium concluded a contract with PGE Górnictwo and Energetyka Konwencjonalna Oddział Elektrownia Opole to construct a nitrogen oxide emissions reduction installation on power block nos. 1, 2 and 4 in Elektrownia Opole. Total project cost is approx. PLN 145.5 million.
Implementing this project will enable the power plant to adapt existing blocks to Industrial Emissions Directive requirements, while the upgrade will be carried out over 3 years (2013-2015).
In addition to negotiating the consortium terms and conditions and the rules on which the two companies would co-operate on the Polish market, DZP also provided advice during the public procurement procedure to select a contractor to build the installation. The client was represented by DZP lawyers Przemysław Furmaga, Marcin Krakowiak, Katarzyna Kuźma and Bartosz Marcinkowski. This is another large investment in the energy sector that has been handled by DZP's Infrastructure and Energy Practice.
