On 14-16 September 2023 in Athens, the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) is holding its Public Procurement Seminar. During the event, Tomasz Michalczyk, Partner in Infrastructure & Energy Practice, will moderate a panel discussion on the Foreign Subsidy Regulation. Together with speakers from Swedish, German and Austrian law firms, he will discuss the effects, challenges, shared experiences and expectations for the future regarding the new regulation.

During the seminar, lawyers from around the world will identify trends and the future of public procurement law emerging as a result of the experiences from the past years. Other topics that will be discussed at the seminar include:

  • joint ventures, public-private initiatives and public procurement,
  • social and environmental issues in public procurement,
  • defence procurement in the EU - does it really differ that much?
  • better in the house or outside?
  • the Achmea case and its impacts - is the world changed?
  • autonomous vessels, blockchain, and digital twins - is the transport market of the future already there?
