The annual Korea Public Procurement Expo (KOPPEX), South Korea’s largest public procurement exhibition, is scheduled to take place from April 17th to 20th in the city of Goyang. Celebrating its 24th anniversary this year, the expo attracts hundreds of companies annually, showcasing a wide array of public procurement-related products, including innovative goods and cutting-edge technologies. To significantly enhance opportunities for outstanding procurement firms in public markets, this year's expo will feature expanded public purchase counseling sessions, facilitating in-depth consultations between companies and procuring organizations. KOPPEX also actively supports overseas market exploration through export consultations, briefing sessions on the overseas procurement market, and numerous international expert workshops and debates.

On the first day of the conference, Katarzyna Kuźma, Partner and Head of DZP’s public procurement team, will deliver a lecture entitled: “Best Strategies to Enter the European Public Procurement Market.” Her presentation will cover the following key aspects:

  • Understanding the legal framework for public procurement law in the EU and Poland.
  • Exploring potential structures of participation available.
  • Grounds for exclusion of contractors and essential information required by the contracting authority.
  • Conditions for participation in the procedure and the impact of chosen participation forms on meeting these conditions.
  • Documentation requirements for contractors and potential challenges they may encounter.
  • Significance of the European Single Procurement Document.
  • Formal aspects of participating in a procedure, including e-procurement.
  • Criteria for determining when a tender is considered abnormally low.
  • Procedures for contractors to challenge unfavorable decisions, including legal remedies.

Additionally, Katarzyna Kuźma will participate in two workshops on the second day of the event. The first will focus on conflict of interest in EU public procurement regulations, while the second will address the topic of cooperation with local partners.

The registration form and program of the exhibition are available on the organizer's website.
