Soo Youn Kim as the new Co-Head of Korean Desk at DZP law firm
News | 17.02.2025
Soo Youn Kim has become a member of DZP's law firm, and in her role as Co-Head of Korean Desk, she will develop our firm's support for Korean companies in the region.
The Korean Desk was created at DZP to provide comprehensive services to Korean businesses that are looking to expand their operations onto the Polish and European markets. It is made up of an interdisciplinary group of experts with in-depth knowledge of the Polish business environment, who, together with a Korean lawyer, actively support companies in the legal and tax aspects of their investments and day-to-day business operations in Poland. Our experts cooperate within 11 practices and advise across 40 specialisations, enabling us to offer our Korean clients a full range of services and to tailor our proposals to their needs and market requirements. We support them not only in the process of setting up operations on the local market, but also in mergers and acquisitions, the development of greenfield investments, infrastructure and energy projects, and those relating to defence and security.
Our aim is for Poland and Europe to be seen as key hubs for Korean investments due to favourable legal regulations and access to a large consumer market. To this end, we have for many years also been fostering close relationships with leading law firms in Europe, thereby providing Korean businesses considering EU expansion with the legal support they need to grow. At the same time, by working closely with our partners and law firms in Korea, we promote our region to their clients as an attractive and stable location for new investments.
DZP's Korean Desk is co-headed by experienced lawyers who have a good awareness of the Korean culture and its legal system:
