22.12.2016 We acted for Enea Wytwarzanie in negotiations with Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe and Polimex-Mostostal. We negotiated annex to a contract to build a 1075 MW energy unit.
19.12.2016 We provided full-range legal assistance to Przewozy Regionalne sp. z o.o. in a contract award procedure for the purchase of modern electric multiple units. We advised at all stages of the procedure.
13.12.2016 We acted for our client in a complaint before the EC over the infringement of EU laws on the excise duty exemption of ethyl alcohol used to manufacture medicines by the provisions of the Polish Excise Tax Act.
12.12.2016 We represented PKP Intercity in an arbitration over the payment of a contractual penalty by Alstom for delayed supply of Pendolino trains. The award is EUR 42.3 million with interest.
23.11.2016 The Constitutional Tribunal ruled that the regulation based on which payments are made in the form of overnight allowances for international transport drivers is not compliant with the Polish Constitution.
20.11.2016 Our lawyers have advised in a case to obtain a European Commission decision on state aid for the coal mining sector in the years 2015-2018. The aid programme was approved on 18 November 2016.
21.10.2016 We are advising the company in a process to obtain state aid for the investments in the form of financial support offered by the Minister of Development and Finances.
30.09.2016 The Swiss company SSE Holding acquired several civil enterprises belonging to the multinational Orica Limited. The plants acquired are in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
17.09.2016 DZP experts comment the Act of 25 June 2015 amending the Act on Real Estate Management and the Family and Guardianship Code, which came into effect On 17 September 2016.
31.08.2016 New interpretation of Warsaw Decree gives grounds for negative decision issued under Decree to be changed even after a court judgment dismissing an appeal against decision has become final.
30.07.2016 DZP advised Idea Bank SA on the sale of GetBack SA, a non-performing loan recovery business, and on the related reorganisation of its debt portfolio. The transaction value was PLN 825 million.

18.07.2016 USP Zdrowie Group acquired 100% of shares in the Polish-Swedish Naturell Group. We were the main adviser and co-ordinated the Polish-Swedish team of lawyers and tax and financial advisers.

15.01.2016 DZP acted for two companies (Spanish and the Dutch) from the Spanish Uriel Inversiones capital group in a dispute over payment of an additional fee. This dispute ended successfully for our client.
From 25 May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies in Poland and other European Union countries. We would therefore like to give you several details on the subject of how DZP processes personal data.
The administrator of the personal data is Domański Zakrzewski Palinka Sp.k. (“DZP”; address: Rondo ONZ 1, 00-124 Warszawa). Data are processed for contact purposes and to impart information on changes to provisions and authority practices and on other issues, including events concerning day-to-day legal, economic and cultural issues, inter alia, by sending DZP newsletters. The above is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, i.e. in accordance with art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Data can also be processed where necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract and for compliance with a legal obligation to which DZP is subject, i.e. pursuant to art. 6(1)(b) and (c) of the GDPR. Data can be transferred to entities with whose help DZP achieves the indicated aims, including entities maintaining IT infrastructure. Giving data is voluntary and in contractual relations is a requirement for concluding and performing a contract. It is possible to object to data processing, request access to, rectification and erasure of personal data or restriction of processing and data portability. Data are kept until an objection is made, and in contractual relations – throughout the term of the contract and thereafter for a period specified in provisions on archiving and limitations period for claims. Anyone has the right to file a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
