On 13 May the national daily Rzeczpospolita once again honoured the biggest and best law firms. We are pleased to inform you that our law firm is again in the forefront of the ranking, taking 2nd place by total number of employees working in the firm and 3rd place by number of advocates and attorneys-at-law.

Rzeczpospolita also drew up a quality ranking where participating law firms recommended the best law firms and lawyers in particular areas of the law. We are pleased to inform you that DZP took first place in company law and commercial law and the lawyer recommended in this category was Grzegorz Domański. Our litigation team was also recognised and is recommended in the litigation (civil, criminal, business, administrative) and arbitration category.

Rzeczpospolita also selected the biggest and most significant and innovative transactions in the past year. Among them were three in which our law firm was involved:

• merger of Bank BGŻ SA with Bank BNP Paribas Bank Polska SA, which was the next step in BNP Paribas's acquisition of BGŻ from Rabobank and was valued at PLN 4 billion,
• first public offering of shares in Altus TFI SA (total value of the offering was PLN 174.6 million),
• advice to PLL LOT SA on preparing and implementing a restructuring plan, which covered obtaining an EC decision approving the state aid received and recognising it as compliant with EU law.
