We are pleased to inform you that on 6 March, Wojciech Hartung was appointed by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Development and Finance, Mateusz Morawiecki, as a member of the Public Procurement Board. The Board is the authority that advises the President of the Public Procurement Office.

The Board's tasks will include:

• expressing opinions on matters raised by the Office President of key importance to the public procurement system,
• giving opinions on proposed procurement-related legislation,
• giving an opinion on the Office President's annual report on the functioning of the procurement system,
• laying down the principles of professional ethics for persons carrying out tasks specified in the law in the procurement system.

The Board is composed of experts and experienced practitioners in public procurement.
