Michał Czarnuch and Paweł Kaźmierczyk are among the experts who are to select startups supporting the treatment of children and pregnant women. The winning concepts will be implemented in selected hospitals in Poland.

The Mother and Child Startup Challenge is the first project in Poland and one of the few in Europe that combines the needs and capabilities of the public healthcare system with the potential of modern medical technologies. The competition, of which DZP is a partner, will select startups that improve the quality of treatment for children and pregnant women.

This year's competition is divided into two categories:

  • for mature companies and startups
  • for startups that are still in the R&D phase, focusing on areas such as medical devices and diagnostics, pharmacotherapy and ICT solutions.
  • The projects submitted will be assessed by a panel of experts, who will select the winners and identify the top innovator in the medtech industry, whose project will be implemented in Polish hospitals. One of the members of the Programme Council for the second year of the competition is Michał Czarnuch, Partner in the Life Sciences Practice, while Paweł Kaźmierczyk, Senior Associate in the Practice and leader of the healthcare teamwill sit on the MCSC jury.
