We are developing advice for Korean companies. Seung Joo Lee joined our Korean Desk

Poland, strategically located in Central and Eastern Europe, is gaining increasing recognition as a potential hub for foreign investors in the CEE region. This is particularly evident in the context of relations with South Korea, which is now one of the largest non-European foreign investors in our country. Strategic partnership agreements signed in recent years at both government and business levels have accelerated cooperation, especially in the areas of infrastructure, energy, new technologies and defence.

To assist Korean entrepreneurs who wish to develop their businesses in Poland and other EU Member States, DZP is consistently strengthening its Korean Desk, a team of legal and business advisers headed by Katarzyna Kuźma. Our assets include, in addition to the extensive experience of DZP lawyers (e.g. in the area of M&A, greenfield, infrastructure, energy and defence and security sector projects), an excellent understanding of Korean clients’ business expectations and the specific nature of their sectors, and the ability to bridge cross-cultural differences.

In February 2024, Seung Joo Lee joined our team to support Korean businesses in all issues related to their expansion to the Polish market and other European markets. Seung Joo gained nearly twenty years of professional experience at a Korean construction company responsible for projects in Poland and Ukraine and in international construction projects such as the construction of a photovoltaic farm in Central and Eastern Europe, a metro project in Qatar and an oil and gas quay project in Thailand.

DZP’s new Regional Business Development Director will coordinate projects for Korean companies and support clients in building their relationships with Polish business partners.

Seung Joo Lee, welcome to the team and we wish you many inspiring projects!
