DZP experts are to discuss key tax and regulatory issues related to investing funds in Luxembourg structures at an event organised by the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce.

DZP is a co-organiser of the seventh edition of The Summer Business Party – an annual event held by the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce (LPCC), co-created this year with Q Securities, MGW, Cascade, Onwelo and Future Processing.

This year's event, with the theme “Poland as a strategic partner for Luxembourg’s financial sector”, provides an important platform for discussions about Poland's growing role in Luxembourg's financial ecosystem.

The programme will include speeches from representatives of public institutions and advisory and technology firms from Poland and Luxembourg, including representatives from Luxembourg for Finance (LFF) and the Polish Development Fund (PDF). Experts will showcase practical solutions to support cross-border cooperation and discuss issues relating to regulation, compliance, operational efficiency and technological transformation in the financial sector.

During the event, Joanna Wierzejska, Partner in DZP’s Tax Practice, will outline the current tax challenges for investment funds, including: tax exemptions for foreign funds in the context of the CJEU judgment, taxation of investors in partnership structures, risk of tax residency in Poland and withholding tax (WHT) issues.

In addition, Piotr Parzyszek, Senior Associate from the Capital Markets & Financial Institutions Practice, will speak in a panel discussion with experts from both countries. He will talk about his experience in advising on international investment structures and opportunities for developing cross-border cooperation.

The meeting will conclude with an evening cruise on the Moselle River, an ideal opportunity for informal follow-up conversations in a unique setting. The Summer Business Party provides a platform for key financial players from Poland and Luxembourg – including financial investors, fund managers and private clients using Luxembourg investment structures – to exchange experiences.

The event will take place on 17 September 2025 in Luxembourg.

More information and a detailed agenda are available on the LPCC’s website.

The event is by invitation only.
