DZP – member of the Polish ESG Association

15.03.2023

Domański Zakrzewski Palinka has joined the Polish ESG Association, the largest organisation of sustainable development leaders in Poland. DZP has pledged to work with the Association to create and promote the highest ESG standards, to provide information on legislative changes in this area and to analyse possible initiatives for sustainable development. This is another move on DZP's part to demonstrate its willingness to engage in dialogue and to work towards building a responsible business environment.

The Polish ESG Association is the largest organisation in Poland bringing together leaders in sustainable transformation: companies, organisations, institutions, local government units that are actively implementing ESG ideas, act in the spirit of sustainable development and respect for the natural environment, care for corporate governance and employees and socially responsibility. The Association creates opportunities for cooperation, exchange of ideas and joint development.

However, DZP bases its market operations not only on running its business efficiently, but also on regular cooperation with and support for foundations, organisations and local communities. It is, inter alia, through social responsibility, seen as a contribution to sustainable social and economic development, that the Law Firm wishes to translate its long-standing motto "more than law" into practice. DZP was also the first law firm to sign a declaration of cooperation with the Warsaw School of Economics within the ESG Initiative, which aims to bring together entities for which ESG is one of the key elements of doing business. It is also a signatory to the Diversity Charter, a project initiated by the Responsible Business Forum to promote the principle of equal treatment, inclusion and diversity management in the workplace.

"We are delighted that our Law Firm not only provides business support to companies taking part in the ESG revolution, but also actively cares about sustainable development itself. Thanks to our cooperation with the Association, DZP will be able to co-author reports and analyses related to the topic of sustainable development and take an active part in the discussion already underway on the green transformation of business,” says Anna Partyka-Opiela, head of DZP’s compliance team, who has become a member of the Council of ESG Innovators, a body made up of Polish business practitioners who stand out for their knowledge and action towards ESG development in their organisations and in Poland.
